Founder Russell Galvin has extensive experience designing and developing large scale software applications. Russell was a partner in SRG Software Inc., one of the fastest growing companies in Canada from 1995 to 1999, at which time it was acquired by Financial Models Company (FMC:TSX).
As Director, Software Development at FMC from 1999 to 2001, Russell architected FMC's global institutional trading network, FMCNet, now evolved into SSCNet. As VP Technology with SRG, Russell guided the SRG technical direction and architected large scale applications including Atlas II for William M. Mercer Inc., a dynamic solvency testing application for insurance company valuation. Other SRG clients included RBC, CIBC, Bell Canada, and Dynamic Mutual Funds.
From 1987 until joining SRG, Russell provided software development services for many clients, with a focus in health sciences software and user interface design. Clients included Bloorview MacMillan Centre, The Gemini Group, and Blissymbolics Communication International. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Guelph.
